  • Directed and oversaw the annual creation of the ALA Student Chapter of the Year application during Spring Term, 2013.
  • Served as liaison to the chapter’s ACRL (Association of College and Research Libraries) Committee.
  • Designed and implemented a survey of ALA Student Chapter membership, eliciting over 50 responses about demographics, academic interests, and ways the Student Chapter can benefit and support members.

  • Contributed to the annual creation of the ALA Student Chapter of the Year application during Spring Term, 2012, producing section on chapter’s communication with membership, addressing the chapter’s website, Moodle space, email list-serv, Facebook and Twitter accounts, and print flyers. Produced descriptive text including usage statistics as well as screenshots and selected copies of flyers for inclusion.

  • Recruited and screened host families and promoted exchange hosting within the local community.
  • Recruited and screened replacement International Exchange Coordinator prior to moving away from community.
  • Matched international high school exchange student with local host family and supervised match after placement.
  • Coordinated with local school administrators.
  • Mentored exchange student and organized activities for student and host family.

  • Promoted to Crew Leader Assistant upon move to Census Coverage Measurement division of 2010 Decennial Census for Person Interview operation.
  • Trained Enumerators to use Census laptops and specialized computer programs during Census Coverage Measurement Person Interview.
  • Served as Crew Leader Assistant for Census Coverage Measurement Person Followup operation.
  • Assisted Crew Leader with classroom training of Enumerators, field observation of Enumerator interviews, editing of completed interview questionnaires, and regular meetings with Enumerators.
  • Completed interviews with respondents as needed, including following up on difficult cases passed up from Enumerators.

  • Completed more than two hundred Census interviews under tight deadlines over a five month period, convincing dozens of reluctant respondents to answer questions. Also successfully convinced multiple hostile respondents to complete the interview process.
  • Completed assigned work quickly enough to be assigned additional work during both Nonresponse Followup and Nonresponse Followup Vacant Delete Check operations.
  • Retained for subsequent operation following first operation, and promoted to Crew Leader Assistant following second operation.
